(Los Angeles) The Consortium for Belizean Development, Inc. is pleased to inform the public that "Christmas Toys" were shipped to Belize for distribution in the villages of Georgeville and Hattieville as well as in Belize City by the KREM Annual Toy Drive. The Consortium collaborated with the Hattieville Reunion Group for the Hattieville donation.

The toy shipment consists of a variety of toys for various age groups and is scheduled to arrive in Belize on December 22nd just in time to spread the joy of Christmas on the faces of many children. The shipment has an estimated retail value of $3200.U.S.

Support for Hattieville has been steady since the village was adopted in 1997. The Consortium is within its fifth year of support for the KREM Annual Toy Drive. And Georgeville has received ongoing support since the organization adopted the village in 2009.

The Consortium extends thanks and appreciation to all those who donated towards the purchasing of toys. We especially thank Joseph's Freight Services for their donated shipment cost to Georgeville.

YWCA HELP
The Consortium is currently requesting cash donations for the YWCA Help Early Leavers Program (HELP). The program comprises the institution's culinary and cosmetology programs for young men and women of our Belizean Community.
